When to use

Use to assess chronic liver disease severity with a sodium adjustment, improving mortality prediction over MELD in many patients.

Why use

Hyponatraemia adds prognostic information beyond MELD.

Critical actions

Bilirubin and creatinine in mg/dL; sodium bounded to 125–137. The Na adjustment applies when MELD >11.
